What can you do to change things?Associates in information and communications technology (ICT) handle routine tasks as well as some specialist tasks related to UNICEF's ICT systems, such as server and desktop management. Specialized tasks usually involve user orientation and the installation and regular setup of ICT system components. All other procedures that might not call for the usage of specific information technology training and expertise are considered procedural tasks. Examples include keeping up with technical and user documentation and/or acting as the principal point of contact for user requests and their processing.


Principal Duties General ICT/Office Support: ICT Associates at this level carry out a wide range of procedural tasks to support ICT in order to guarantee efficient support for other ICT staff members and successful communications with client departments, divisions, and offices.
Activities include:Providing first-level support that includes receiving, processing and logging service requests.

Using a service management platform, he or she manages the lifetime of ICT incidents assigned to them. offering assistance when needed in using ICT and audiovisual equipment for conferences. Making work orders and assigning them. keeping internal databases and electronic and paper information up to date. keeping up with manuals, other documents, and ICT inventories. The incumbent might have to move, hoist, mount, or store equipment for this. IP configuration for users and basic VHF radios. Support for networks and infrastructure Providing rules for ECM page designs and controlling user access to certain SharePoint sites Involve yourself in PSB procedures and decommission outdated ICT devices (computers, printers, etc.). Oversee the upkeep of ICT equipment, 

Minimal ICT Administration: ICT Associates are responsible for providing specialist assistance related to normal ICT tasks that call for a deep comprehension and application of the documentation and functioning of servers, operating systems, hardware, and software.

 Installing or updating, establishing (standard, routine), and maintaining tools, equipment, and systems are among the tasks. supporting the regular maintenance and observation of network infrastructure delivering second-level troubleshooting and user assistance. helping to create reports on computers. giving people on-the-job training on how to use ICT systems. 

To be eligible to serve as an advocate for each and every kid you will have Education: Formal instruction in computer science, information systems, telecommunications, and engineering must be added to the completion of secondary school. An advantage is having an ITIL Foundation Certificate or a comparable customer support qualification.

Experience: It is necessary to have at least six years of real-world information technology work experience that involves methodical approaches to problem-solving and troubleshooting. It is necessary to have experience using programs and diagnostic tools, as well as assisting users with IT products and services. It is necessary to have real-world experience offering business and technical customer support and services. It is necessary to have working knowledge of several computer platforms and applications as well as practical experience.
