Cooperative Youth Farmers & Allied Entrepreneurs Programme
This intervention aims to reduce youth unemployment, youth restiveness, tackle food insecurity, promote wealth creation, and address household poverty by generating mass employment and opportunities for youths in the agriculture and food sectors. Its target is to create 20 million direct jobs in the agriculture and food sectors by 2027, thus enabling household poverty alleviation.

Why NIYEEDEP was formed
The “Nigerian Economic Engagement and De-Radicalization Programme (NIYEEDEP)” was formed out of the existing need to address Nigeria’s overwhelming problems of high youth unemployment, youth economic underutilization, youth poverty, and their consequences of low economic development, household poverty, radicalization, and insecurity.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to mitigate youth unemployment, grow Nigeria’s economy, and alleviate household poverty by helping youths access the business financing, enterprise development services, and other basic economic incentives and empowerment platforms needed to transform themselves into entrepreneurs, job creators, income earners, and builders of wealth. We use MSMEs as channels while becoming change agents and catalysts for crime reduction, economic development, national security, and household poverty alleviation.
