The Borno State Scholarships Board has announced a fantastic opportunity for female indigenes of Borno State! If you scored 200 or above in the 2025 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and are interested in pursuing a STEM-related field, you are invited to apply for the His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum CON, Mni, FNSE, FNAE Scholarship for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Eligibility Criteria:
* Must be a female indigene of Borno State.
* Scored 200 points and above in the 2025 JAMB examination.
* Must have chosen a STEM-related course (e.g., Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, Agriculture, Physics, etc.) as their preferred discipline.
* Must possess a valid JAMB result slip and admission letter (or provisional admission) into a recognized tertiary institution.
* Proof of Borno State indigeneity (Local Government Identification).
* Scanned copy of the 2025 JAMB result slip (showing score and course of study).
Qualified candidates are requested to submit their JAMB details to the Borno State Scholarships Board, Kano/Jos Road, Maiduguri on or before 30th June, 2025.
Candidates are also advised to provide their contact information (Phone Number/Email).
This initiative, championed by His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Executive Governor of Borno State, aims to empower young women in STEM fields, bridge gender gaps in critical sectors, and foster innovation for the sustainable development of the state.
