The 2025–2026 Technical Teachers Training Programme (TTTP), a tuition-free, one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) intended to upskill public secondary school teachers teaching technical and vocational subjects throughout Nigeria, has begun, according to the Federal Ministry of Education.
Highlighting the government's reaffirmed commitment to bolstering Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the nation, the announcement was made through the Department of Technology and Science Education in Abuja, which is part of the Federal Ministry of Education.
The ministry claims that by upskilling instructors through a one-year PGDE, it hopes to revitalize Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and guarantee that graduates meet contemporary industry standards.
