Job Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Impact Monitoring Officers (IMOs) by reviewing their work and guiding them in task planning for efficient data collection.
  • Ensuring high-quality data collection for both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, including focus group discussions (FGDs).
  • Assisting in the preparation of field reports and organizing data collection activities.
  • Conducting key informant interviews, in-depth interviews (IDIs), and facilitating FGDs as per the research protocol.
  • Reviewing transcripts and interview records for accuracy, managing data files, and ensuring proper transcription and cleaning.


Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), or a related field.

Specialized training or relevant experience in M&E or impact assessment is an advantage.


Experience & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in data collection for research or evaluations, including M&E in development programs.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Experience working in both rural and urban settings.

Additional Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in impact monitoring, data collection, or research supervision.
  • Experience managing field teams for both quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  • Knowledge of data quality assurance and validation techniques.
  • Expertise in conducting key informant interviews (KIIs), IDIs, and FGDs.
  • Experience with transcription, data cleaning, and interview record management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills for supervising field teams.
  • Technical skills in digital data collection tools (e.g., ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare) are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as the use of laptops, tablets, and GPS recording.
