The Federal College of Education Gwoza is seeking qualified candidates to fill various academic and non-academic positions.

Academic Staff Positions

The college is hiring for the following positions in its academic staff:

 * Lecturer Cadre: Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Lecturer III, Assistant Lecturer

 * Technologist Cadre: Higher Instructor, Higher Technologist

 * Instructor Cadre: Higher Instructor

 * Librarian Cadre: Librarian I, Librarian II

These positions are available in the following schools and departments:

 * School of Arts and Social Sciences: Department of Economics, Department of Geography, Department of Social Studies

 * School of Education: Department of Curriculum Studies, Department of Foundations, Department of Psychology, Department of General Studies

 * School of Languages: Department of English, Department of French, Department of Arabic

 * School of Sciences: Department of Computer Science, Department of Integrated Science, Department of Mathematics, Department of Physical and Health Education

 * School of Vocational and Technical Education: Department of Agricultural Education, Department of Business Education

Qualifications and Experience Required

 * Lecturer Cadre: A teaching qualification is required in addition to academic qualifications. A minimum of a Second Class Lower division degree is required. Candidates must be registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and be computer literate. A Master's degree in a core teaching subject is the minimum acceptable qualification for Lecturers.

   * Senior Lecturer: A good bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, NYSC/Discharged Certificate, a minimum of twelve (12) years' post-qualification cognate experience, membership of relevant professional bodies, a master's degree in a relevant field, 3 conference/seminar papers, 3 journal or 2 chapters' contribution in a standard textbook, and an Education Qualification. Possession of a Ph.D. is an added advantage.

   * Lecturer I: A good bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, NYSC/Discharged Certificate, a minimum of Nine (9) years post-qualification cognate experience, 5 conference/seminar papers, 2 Journals or 1-chapter contribution in a standard textbook, membership of relevant professional bodies, a master's degree in a relevant subject area, and an Education Qualification. Possession of a Ph.D. is an added advantage.

   * Lecturer II: A good bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, NYSC/Discharged Certificate, a minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification cognate experience, 1 journal and 3 conference/seminar papers, a master's degree in a relevant subject area, and an Education Qualification. Possession of a Ph.D. is an added advantage.

   * Lecturer III: A good bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, NYSC/Discharged Certificate, a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience, a minimum of two (2) conference/seminar papers, a master's degree in a relevant subject area, and an Education Qualification.

   * Assistant Lecturer: A good bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, NYSC/Discharged Certificate, and an Education Qualification.

 * Instructor Cadre:

   * Senior Instructor: A good HND, with at least three years of cognate experience or FTC with at least six years of cognate experience and the possession of a Technical Teachers Certificate.

   * Higher Instructor: A good HND or its equivalent in a relevant area from recognized institutions plus the evidence of Professional Teaching Qualification, or Holders of City and Guilds Full Technological Certificate (FTC) or its equivalent plus Technical Teachers' Certificate with at least three years of cognate working experience.

 * Technologist Cadre:

   * Technologist I: A Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit plus NYSC/discharged Certificate plus three years of cognate experience and a professional Certificate.

   * Science Laboratory Technician I: A Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit plus NYSC/discharged Certificate plus three years of cognate experience and a professional Certificate.

 * Librarian’s Cadre:

   * Librarian I: A minimum of a first-degree certificate in Library and Information Science and other related fields or a first degree in any discipline and master's in library and information science degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Science with two years of cognate experience, Certificate of Practice by the Librarians' Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), and computer literacy.

   * Librarian II: A good bachelor's degree in library and information science or other related field with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division plus NYSC/Discharged Certificate or a first degree in any discipline and Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Science, Certificate of Practice by the Librarians' Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), and computer literacy.

Non-Academic Staff Positions

The college is also hiring for various non-academic staff positions in the following departments:

 * Works

 * Library

 * Directorate of Audit

 * Directorate of Procurement

 * Directorate of Medical Service

 * I.C.T. Centre
