This five-month leadership training is designed for young Nigerians aged 18 to 30, equipping them with the necessary tools to become proactive citizens and change-makers who drive sustainable development in their communities.

About the Programme
This leadership initiative provides young Nigerian undergraduates with the resources, mentorship, and learning environment needed to develop self-leadership and create lasting community impact.
As Nigeria prepares for an election year, the YLDP is more relevant than ever, addressing critical issues such as leadership, active citizenship, and sustainable development.
Participants engage in self-paced courses focusing on:
✔ Leadership
✔ Active Citizenship
✔ Community & Sustainable Development
They also benefit from mentorship sessions with expert social innovators and changemakers.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 LEAP Africa YLDP, applicants must:
- Be a male or female undergraduate in a tertiary or vocational institution in Nigeria
- Be aged 18 – 30 years
- Have a passion for advocacy, activism, and community development
- Show interest in diversity, inclusion, and civic engagement
- Be committed to leading community-driven change projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Be willing to engage with government institutions and advocate for policy reforms
- Be available for online training, debates, and mentorship sessions

Programme Structure
The Youth Leadership Development Programme consists of 22 modules, carefully designed to address leadership gaps and equip young Nigerians with the skills needed to lead community transformation and influence policy.
