Applications for the Feasibility Study grant are being accepted from Irish private sector organizations as well as from qualified African nations for projects that aim to investigate business ideas and market prospects that can support the long-term development and transformation of Africa's agri-food system.
Applications for feasibility studies are welcome for both solo projects—those that will be completed by a single organization—and projects that will be completed in collaboration with two organizations. Complete funding for commercial projects

The complete project grant's objectives are to help Africa's agri-food sector develop and transform sustainably while also supporting an initiative that aims to increase commerce and knowledge sharing between Ireland and Africa.
The African and Irish candidates in the collaboration must work together to produce applications for Full Commercial Projects. Business type Before submitting their AADP application, all applicants must be agri-food companies that have been registered or incorporated in Ireland or one of the 19 eligible African nations for a minimum of 24 months.

Show that each application has the proper financial management, governance, and fraud protection procedures in place.

All candidates, including those from Africa, must apply for and get an Irish Tax Clearance Certificate from the Irish Revenue Commissioners to submit with their application. a project budget that details expenditures, sources of money, activities, and equipment a project implementation schedule that outlines the key actions and tasks needed to accomplish the project's goals a strategy for cooperation throughout the project's duration

Successful AADP funding applicants will be encouraged to engage with Irish and other national and international NGOs on various aspects of the projects, where possible. For example, project design, community engagement and mobilisation, or training and extension.
Please be aware that candidates must find a partner company on their own if they are looking for finance for a full commercial project. For the purposes of this program, neither the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) nor the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) are able to pair Irish and African businesses.
Furthermore, for initiatives sponsored by the AADP, the AADP cannot serve as a substitute partner. The production, development, or sale of firearms, tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, or gambling operations are prohibited uses for AADP awards.
Fossil fuel generation cannot be supported with AADP funds. Funds from the AADP cannot be used to support initiatives that lead to forest degradation (i.e., a reduction in a forest's ability to produce goods and services) or deforestation (i.e., the conversion of a forest to another land use through the long-term reduction of tree canopy cover to below the minimum 10% threshold).
Funds from the AADP will not be given to businesses or commercial endeavors that violate international norms and conventions pertaining to labor laws, corruption, the environment, or human rights, or where the business is unable to show that it has clear objectives and continuous efforts to address these issues.
Projects that do not meet the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine of Ireland's criteria for animal welfare will not be supported by AADP grants.
In Ireland, AADP money cannot be utilized for any major projects without further written consent.
